Protect Our Rivers

Sweepstakes begins on 09/01/2026 and ends on 09/30/2026. The deadline to enter is September 30, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM MST

Eligibility: The  Better Together Cleanup Challenge Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry and can provide a legal photo ID and physical shipping address (that is not a PO Box). Employees, contractors, directors, officers and agents of Protect Our Rivers or any prize partner and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, child and sibling), are not eligible to enter or win. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.  Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Protect Our Rivers' decisions which are final and binding in all matters related to these Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements as set forth herein.

By participating in the "Better Together Cleanup Challenge Sweepstakes" you agree to all of These Terms and Conditions and to release Protect Our Riversand all prize partnersinvolved of full liability. ​

There is only one way to enter the Better Together Cleanup Challenge Sweepstakes which is online at protectourrivers.org/bettertogether. To enter you must follow the instructions and complete the entry form listed on the website. All entries must be received and recorded during the Sweepstakes Period.  No other forms of entry are valid.  Limit one (1) entry per day per person.

Prizes: Prizes are provided by Fire Anytime (LavaBox), Rocky Mountain Rafts, Orvis Company, and Kokopelli.

Prizes are: 

One Lavabox Portable Campfire ($300)

Two Rocky Mountain Rafts River Tubes ($418)

One Orvis Encounter Fly Rod ($250)

One Kokopelli Packraft ($499)

The prizes pictured may different slightly in color or variation. If a winner cannot accept the prize as specified, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate potential winner.  The difference between any stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Prize is non-transferable and no cash equivalent or substitution of prize is offered. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Protect Our Rivers reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value.  Prize winners will be solely responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prizes they receive, regardless of whether it, in whole or in part, is used. 

Potential winner(s) will be selected in  four random drawings be held on (9/10/26, 9/17/26, 9/24/26, and 10/01/26) from among all eligible entries received by Protect Our Rivers, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. 

Potential winner(s) will be notified by email and must respond within three (3) calendar days to accept the prize. Failure to respond within that time, inability to verify eligibility, noncompliance with these Official Rules, or return of a prize notification as undeliverable will result in forfeiture. Potential winners may be required to provide proof of age and complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and, where permitted by law, publicity release within three (3) days of accepting the prize.

If a potential winner is disqualified or forfeits the prize, Protect Our Rivers may select one (1) alternate potential winner at random from the remaining eligible entries. Any alternate winner will be subject to the same eligibility, verification, and response requirements.

A potential winner will not be confirmed as an official winner until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules have been verified, including any applicable age requirement.

Protect Our Rivers and sponsors are not responsible for a potential winner’s failure to receive a notification due to interrupted service or changes to the entrant’s contact information.​​

Prize Fulfillment: Prizes will be shipped to the winner, provided the winner supplies a valid physical mailing address. Prizes cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes. Prizes may be shipped directly by Protect Our Rivers or by a participating prize partner. Protect Our Rivers will cover shipping costs up to $100 per prize. If shipping costs exceed $100, the winner will be responsible for the additional amount. If the winner declines to pay the additional shipping costs, the prize will be forfeited. Protect Our Rivers will email tracking  information to the winner within 10 days after the prize is awarded.

Protect Our Rivers the Better Together Cleanup Challenge Sweepstakes sponsors may use the winner’s name, voice, biographical information, and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes, without further compensation, in any media now known or later developed, worldwide and on the Internet, without notice, review, or approval, to the extent permitted by law.
